Denholm Logistics acquires Arends International 4th March 2008 Denholm Logistics Limited today announced the acquisition of the multi-disciplined logistics provider, Arends International Ltd in a deal which further strengthens Denholm's position as one of the largest privately-owned logistics providers in the UK. With headquarters in Liverpool, Denholm Logistics is a trading division of the J & J Denholm Group, the Glasgow industrial and shipping conglomerate. The business has over two hundred years of trading history and a reputation built on traditional values and a high quality of customer service. Both Denholm Logistics and Arends International are full service logistics providers combining worldwide air, sea, and road freight, warehousing and distribution services. In addition, Denholm Logistics services the port agency and short sea shipping sectors. Arends has a turnover in excess of £50m and employs 85 staff between Newton-le-Willows and London. Arends will continue to operate under its own banner, with all the senior management and staff team remaining in their current roles.
